Landgate is committed to increasing its electronic lodgement capabilities and supporting industry to fully transition to electronic conveyancing.
Offering electronic options for eligible documents typically offers lodging parties such as lawyers, settlement agents, lenders and some Government organisations a faster way to lodge and register documents compared to paper documents. More information is available on the Eligible documents for paperless conveyancing webpage. Details on the average lodgement turnaround times for electronic and paper document types are also available.
Documents that are eligible to be lodged electronically are categorised below:
- Structured documents – This includes the following document types –
- Discharge of Mortgage (mandated)
- Mortgage (mandated)
- Transfer (mandated)
- Caveat (mandated)
- Withdrawal of caveat (mandated)
- Survivorship application
- Change of name application
- Transmission application (new)
- Residual documents – All other electronic documents are called Residual Documents. Find out more in the ELE-04 Residual Documents guide with a full list of Residual Documents shown in the Residual Document Table.
Transmission Application
From 5 August 2024, a standalone Transmission application can now be prepared and lodged via the PEXA Electronic Lodgment Network (ELN).

Additional consideration types for transfers
Also from 5 August 2024, additional consideration types for transfers will be available for selection. These are:
- Desire to change the manner of tenancy
- Pursuant to the terms of a deed
- Pursuant to the terms of a will
- Pursuant to the terms of the Administration Act 1903
- Non-monetary (used where no other consideration type is available)
Please note for a transfer to be eligible for electronic conveyancing, it must meet the eligibility criteria set out in the document eligibility guide in ELE-01 Electronic Conveyancing and RevenueWA eligibility criteria, currently including the need for a preceding agreement, refer Transactions that can and can't be settled by eConveyancing
