Industry professionals are required to lodge eligible caveats electronically via an Electronic Lodgement Network (ELN).
From 11 May 2021, changes have been made to the way in which the Registrar of Titles examines the claims, claim category and evidence for electronically lodged caveat documents. The changes will allow the Registrar to auto-examine a higher number of caveats, resulting in increased real time updates to those titles.
To further assist industry in the preparation of electronically lodged caveats, and to detail the changes to examination practices, a new guide has been published in the Land Titles Registration Practice Guides titled “CAV-07 Electronic caveat preparation”.
For further information, please refer to the CAV-07 guide.
