It’s official – Landgate work life balance initiatives among the best in the country!

Landgate's flexible, family friendly workplace strategies have received national acclaim by winning a 2009-2010 National Work Life Balance Award.

The Agency was selected as one of six national winners at an awards ceremony held in anberra on Monday (March 15).

Landgate's Chief Executive, Mike Bradford said work-life balance initiatives helped make Landgate a great place to work.

"We pride ourselves on being an employer of choice and have put a lot of effort into creating a work environment with healthy work-life balance," Mr Bradford said.

"Strategies include the provision of a family room at the Midland head office, for when staff need to care for immediate family or dependants in an emergency.

"Staff are also entitled to study leave relevant to their work and there is an agency-wide Wellness Program which includes lunch time exercise and relaxation programs.

"Where operational requirements can be met, we also offer flexitime and a Home Based Work Program, so that staff have the flexibility to balance work and personal commitments."

The National Work Life Balance Awards are organised by the Federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

As an award winner, Landgate will be able to use the Work Life Balance logo for the next three years, further promoting Landgate as an Employer of Choice.
