Did you know satellites can help monitor our environment? Join experts from Landgate's Satellite Remote Sensing Services (SRSS) at Cockburn Wetlands Education Centre on Saturday 20 November 2010, to learn about earth observation satellites and how they can be used to track changes in native vegetation.
The session will take place between 9:30am and 12:30pm, with 30 minute presentations held at 10:30 am and 11:30am. This event is an inspiring Australia initiative, organised by Landgate in association with the City of Cockburn.

The centre is an independent, not-for-profit, community organisation dedicated to wetlands, restoration activities, environmental education, youth services and facility hire. Numerous volunteers implement the centre's activities along with the assistance of a small band of dedicated staff. The centre provides a gateway to the Beeliar Regional Park, which consists of two parallel chains of wetlands including 27 different wetlands.
Landgate is Western Australia's primary source of land information and geographic data, providing the accuracy government, business and individuals rely on.
