Valuation Services Policies


This Landgate site contains all current published valuation policies of the Valuer General. These are provided to establish the process of interpretation of The Valuation of Land Act 1978 and how that translates to the valuations made and used under the legislation.
The main aims of this site are to provide;
  • The formal direction for the interpretations and approach to all valuation work undertaken within Valuation Services and as overseen by the Valuer General;
  • An information tool to make valuation policies available to the public;
  • A link to any policy related legislation on the State Law Publisher’s website. Should there be a problem in accessing a particular link, the website can be accessed on: www.slp.wa.gov.au.
Policy statements and information contained at this site are the most recent issued regarding the particular subjects concerned. In some instances the site may indicate that the policy is ‘in development’, ‘withdrawn’ or ‘withdrawn subject to review’.

It may be necessary to ascertain if the policy of particular interest is subject to change. As well as viewing what is currently displayed on the site it is recommended that the user address any comments or concerns on the content to the Valuer General or the Manager, Valuation Services.
