Extracts from valuation roll records can be used to assist with calculating land tax and rates information.
The Valuer General is responsible for completing and issuing valuation rolls each year. Landgate holds these formal valuation records for all rateable land in the State, and is responsible for ensuring that valuations remain as accurate as possible. The extracts are from the official valuation roll records for a particular property and include gross rental values and unimproved values.
Landgate offers two types of Valuation Roll Extracts:
The Unimproved Land Value Report is used to calculate land tax, metropolitan region improvement tax (MRIT), and council land rates for some properties. It contains information relevant to your property of interest including:
- Land Details such as Certificate of Title, Property Type and Land Area
- Valuation Dates - Current, Previous and Next
- Last three unimproved land values for the property
Please note: the Unimproved Land Value provided for a strata property is the value of the whole of the land subject to the strata plan. Please refer to the FAQs for more information.
The Gross Rental Value Report provides information to assist with determining council land rates, Water Corporation charges and the emergency services levy for a particular property based on expected rental income. The report includes:
- Land Details including Certificate of Title, Property Type and Land Area
- Valuation Dates - Current, Previous and Next
- Last three gross rental values for the property
