Crown Surveys include District, Townsite and other Miscellaneous Plans and Diagrams. Crown Surveys are generally contracted to private surveyors, when Crown Land is to be granted for future developments. Crown Plans show lots within an area, usually around 16 land parcels. Diagrams normally show 15 or less parcels of land.

Since July 2000, all Crown surveys are lodged as Crown Deposited Plans. Existing Crown Surveys were given dual Depoisted Plan number in addition to their Crown Survey number.

All Crown Surveys (Deposited Plans) are available to order. Landgate Account holders can obtain the plans via Land Enquiry. Copies of the plans are delivered by email, facsimile or post. Images of the Plans can also be viewed and copies can be ordered over the counter.

Freehold plans and diagrams show lots created by a survey. Plans normally show 16 or more land parcels and diagrams normally show 15 or less parcels of land. “Deposited Plans” now encompasses all Freehold plans and diagrams. There is no limit to the number of lots being shown on a Deposited Plan. Copies of these are available to be viewed or ordered, over the counter at Midland. Landgate Account Holders may also order their copies via Land Enquiry. Deliveries are by email, facsimile or post.

Landgate field books are field notes from surveys completed on land surveys. The field books show the relationship between the survey pegs and the surrounding features. Field books available also include:

• repegs of lots,
• exploration,
• engineering and
• miscellaneous.

Strata and Survey Strata Plans are used for creating strata and survey strata schemes. These plans identify the lots in strata and survey strata schemes. These can be viewed and ordered through the Online Shop, over the counter, and via Land Enquiry and delivered by email, facsimile or post. Survey Index Plans provide a historical record of survey boundaries, field book numbers, crown and freehold survey numbers and public and private road dedications. Currently Survey Index Plans are available to view via the Landgate Survey Channel for subscribers.
