Landgate’s "Wineries Western Australia" map Wins Gold
Our Wineries Western Australia map won a gold award at the International Map Trade Association(IMTA) Conference and Trade Show, held in Darwin in August 2009.

We are extremely proud to have won the award with stiff competition from some of Australia's biggest map publishers.

The Wineries Map includes more than 400 wineries from nine of Western Australia’s wine growing regions, covering more than 12,000ha under vine. Each region featured includes information about the area and its history of wine production.

The map is an extremely useful and practical guide for anyone wishing to experience Western Australia’s countryside and its world class produce.

It was developed with assistance from the Wine Industry Association of WA, the Department of Industry and Resources and Tourism WA. The map is available from all good newsagents, bookshops and online for only $8.60.

We have five free Wineries WA Maps to giveaway! To win simply email marketing@landgate.wa.gov.au with “Wineries WA Map” in the subject line and name two products that Landgate offers for sale online. Hint: check out our website.

SLIP Update
Interest Enquiry - Acid Sulphate Soil Information
Acid sulphate soil information released by the Department of Environment and Conservation is the most recent addition to interest information now available via Interest Enquiry.

Acid sulphate soil can become an environmental hazard when exposed to oxygen through lowering of the water table or excavation. Oxidation results in the production of sulphuric acid.

Providing landowners with easy access to information on the location of acid sulphate soil minimises the risk of disturbing the soil. You can read more here.

We are continuing to work with State and local government agencies to gain access to further interest datasets.

Interest Enquiry - Department of State Development
The Department of State Development is set to subscribe to Interest Enquiry and fund research to develop new interest reports. These new interest reports will support the Department's provision of a free advisory service to international and interstate investors.

Access to interest information early in the development evaluation phase will support improved investment decisions.

Working with the Department of State Development provides us with the opportunity to support the information needs of some of Western Australia’s major industrial projects.
