International Women's Day Celebration

A staggering $4135 was raised for the Breast Cancer Foundation of Western Australia (BCFWA) at Landgate’s annual International Women’s Day breakfast held at Sandalford Winery, Wednesday March 10.
More than 130 guests gathered to listen to BCFWA Founder Ros Worthington (OAM) speak passionately about the many women who have been helped by the foundation.
She said that that all money raised at the breakfast would go directly to Western Australian breast cancer sufferers, to help with expenses associated with treatment (eg. transport and living expenses).
Landgate’s Events Co-ordinator Pepita Chan said that the presentation struck a nerve with many guests and the donations collected were more than doubled from last year.
“Since the breakfast I have received a phenomenal amount of emails from guests who were moved and inspired by Ms Worthington’s talk,” Pepita said.
