Geodetic Information and Notification
Geodetic information is available for;
- Standard survey marks and bench marks.
- The status of the mark and when it was last visited, cadastral connection field books, reference marks and notes.
- Horizontal details - Coordinates are geographic, MGA and Project Grid where applicable.
- Vertical details - AHD and AUSGEOD 98 ellipsoidal heights and AUSGEOD 98 N Values.
- Horizontal and Vertical accuracy statements and survey methods. For more information, download the GDA Technical Manual.
- Christmas and Cocos Islands WGS84 to GDA94
This Geodetic information is available via a graphic interface online using Map Viewer available on My Landgate Survey Channel. Here you can view the geodetic marks over a cadastral background and link directly from the map to display detailed geodetic mark reports. Geodetic information is also available via submission of a Geodetic Information Request Form. The associated search fees vary depending on the requested delivery mode.

GEODETIC MARK IMPENDING WORKS NOTIFICATION
Where any geodetic mark is at risk of being damaged or destroyed, LANDGATE must be notified immediately to enable appropriate remedial action. The Geodetic Mark Impending Works Notification form should be used in there circumstances, or alternatively contact the Manager Geodetic Survey on 9273 7114.
GEODETIC MARK STATUS REPORT
When a geodetic mark is used (for any reason other than a cadastral survey which requires a new fieldbook to be lodged) a Geodetic Mark Status Report form should be completed and forwarded to Landgate via e-mail or fax. This information will be recorded in the geodetic database and delivered via Landgate Map Viewer - Geodetic Report. This will provide the survey industry with the most up-to-date information on the status of marks.
