GBRS certificates now available

03/28/2008

The Greater Bunbury Region Scheme (GBRS) defines the future land use in the Greater Bunbury Region, dividing it into zones and reservations. Local governments will be required to provide detailed plans for their part of the region consistent with the GBRS.

The Greater Bunbury Region stretches as far north as Lake Preston, as far south as Capel, eastwards to the Darling Scarp, and covers the local government boundaries of the City of Bunbury and the Shires of Harvey, Dardanup and Capel.

The region’s population is expected to exceed 100,000 people by 2031, therefore it is vital to ensure an adequate supply of commercial, residential and industrial land, as well as the conservation of key environmental features, to provide future growth.

The region scheme certificate system (RSCS) is a service that has been available through My Landgate for the past twelve months, and is a joint initiative between Landgate, Department for Planning and Infrastructure and the Western Australian Planning Commission.

It is designed to be used in conjunction with Electronic Sales Advice (EAS) or as a stand-alone product through Landgate.

To be used with your EAS, you can request a Clause 53 (GBRS) certificate, along with the Clause 42 (MRS) and Clause 47 (PRS) certificate. Alternatively, a stand-alone (GBRS) enquiry can be carried out through the Conveyancing Channel of My Landgate.
