OceanWatch provides access to sea surface temperature charts for fishing industry professionals or for recreational use. The charts indicate temperature boundaries, temperature pockets, water movements and currents.  Fish may congregate in waters of favourable temperature, so sea surface information can help track concentrations of catch and maximise yield.

Temperature charts are produced using satellite data gathered 800 kilometres above the earth and these can be available within 2 hours after satellite overpass. Up to 8 satellite views of Western Australia’s coast can be produced within a 24 hour period. Please see a following sample image.
