Crown Surveys
Crown Surveys include Crown Plans, Diagrams and others. Crown Surveys are generally contracted to private surveyors, when Crown Land is to be granted for future developments. Crown Plans show lots within an area, usually around 16 land parcels. Diagrams normally show 15 or less parcels of land. Over the past 12 months newly lodged Crown Surveys have become a part of the “Deposited Plans” system. This is to support Landgate’s new digital environment. Existing Crown surveys have been dual numbered and will have a deposited plan number and a Crown Survey number.
Crown Surveys prior to 1/7/2000 are available on microfiche in the self serve area at Landgate’s Midland head office. To access the self serve area, customers must first establish a Landgate Account.
Crown Surveys lodged after 1/7/2000 are called deposited plans and are available to be viewed over the counter using Image Viewer. Hard copies may be ordered by Landgate Account holders when ordering via Land Enquiry or Facsimile Search Service.
Also available: over the counter at Midland, by post or fax for non account holders.
