Electronic Conveyancing

An office for the National Electronic Conveyancing System (NECS) has been established in Victoria to assist all States and Territories to evaluate the merits of electronic conveyancing for both Industry and Government. The National Office has done a considerable amount of work towards the specifications of a National Electronic Conveyancing System. A National Business Model, prepared by the National Office, outlines the concept for electronic conveyancing throughout Australia. A National Implementation Strategy document outlines a suggested electronic conveyancing implementation strategy for each Jurisdiction within Australia. A National Operations Description document is a preliminary description of the operations of a National Electronic Conveyancing System.

A NECS project team has been established by Landgate for Western Australia. For any enquiries on electronic conveyancing, please contact the WA team on (08) 9273 7140 or by email at ecinfo@landgate.wa.gov.au

The team consults with a steering committee of industry stakeholders who meet regularly to discuss the feasibility of electronic conveyancing in Western Australia. The minutes of the meetings, glossary of terms as well as some frequently asked questions are available below for your information.
